Back Cover Blurb:

Born into a world of magic wielders without any powers of her own, Keriya Nameless isn’t exactly hero material, yet the goddess Shivnath chooses her to save the world’s last living dragon. She doesn’t know why it happened, and frankly she doesn’t care—this is her chance to prove her worth.

Unfortunately for Keriya, countless others are determined to get their hands on that dragon—everyone from smugglers to kings, from the Empress of Allentria to the most powerful warlord who ever lived.

It would be a perilous task for even the bravest of heroes, let alone a naïve 14-year-old-girl, and as Shivnath’s chosen dragon speaker, Keriya quickly learns that she’s at the centre of an age-old war . . . a war that will decide the fate of everything.

My Review:

One thing that sets this novel apart was the world building. Mugadan has created a fantastic and vividly unforgettable world in which the characters come to life as they journey and travel through the fantastic quest set before them. Intense descriptions meld with the imagination inspiring plot to create a whole that readers of all ages will enjoy.

I love the main character in this tale. What a blast to get to know. It was a one of a kind feeling to travel alongside her as she gets wrapped up in an age old feud that is both exciting and dangerous. I really enjoyed how Mugadan develops the entire cast well, not simply the main character. It was an amazing feeling, getting to know everyone so well.

This is a great start to Mugadan’s new series. It is a one of a kind story that readers of all ages will enjoy.
