My Review:

I enjoy the personal writing style that Radcliffe uses. It really provides a connection with the main character, allowing readers to experience the story rather than simply read it. She transitions from emotional turmoil to exquisite sex in the blink of an eye without missing a beat. Each aspect of the tale is equally well developed and presented, melding together in a seamless whole that I couldn’t look away from.

I liked the emotional aspects of this novel. The way that Thomas is an alpha male character with needs and difficulties was a nice twist. This is a very personal tale where I felt as if I were invited deep into the characters’ lives. Radcliffe is one of the rare authors who really makes dual perspective narratives work for her. Samantha’s inner attitude really shines through in narrative from her perspective. She’s so real, fun and snarky all the time. I love the way that these two look at and think about each other. The dynamic is fantastic and the way it’s presented made me feel as if I was peeking into their innermost lives and thoughts. Their relationship is sinfully hot while also fraught with the pitfalls of a realistic life. Nothing is ever quite as perfect as it seems.

This novel is simultaneously heartbreaking and life reaffirming. It was the perfect, hot read for a weekend evening and one that I would highly recommend to romance lovers far and wide.
