Fate works in mysterious ways.

Sophia is on her way to her first Halloween gathering for witches when her broomstick breaks down. Luckily, she lands at a garage where a hunky mechanic, after a spell of persuasion, agrees to act as chauffeur.

Aidan is more than just a sexy driver though. As a wolf shapeshifter, magic doesn’t affect him, but he’s not immune to the powerful draw of his true mate. Mating should be simple, but he didn’t count on a stubborn witch making abduction his only option.

With the factions they belong to discouraging mixed species mating, will they find love like fate intended?

My Review:

This one was a barrel of laughs from the 1st page. I enjoyed how witch’s magic and broom flying were developed. It was interesting and comical while also adding to the plot. To be honest, Langlais’ entire concept of magic was very well laid out and a unique take on it. The misconceptions between witches and shifters definitely lead to some very comical moments and some tense ones.

There is some very intense chemistry between the two main characters in this tale. The tension between them really enhances the tale. At the same time, as individuals they were a blast. I love Aidan’s caring nature. He’s alpha in every sense of the word.

This was a quick, fast, hot read that I had a blast with. It was a fantastic escape from the everyday for me.
