Luke Frost, raised in an emotionless society of wealth and prestige, requires a wife to produce sons as he's the last of his line. Sarah refuses his proposals though is delighted to take his partners, Oscar Cutler and Gabe Downey, as lovers. It takes time, but Luke realizes his cold, businesslike behavior is what keeps Sarah away. My Review:

There`s something about Luke that just intrigued me from the get-go. I`ve been dying for this story since we first met him earlier in the series. He definitely didn`t disappoint me here, in fact, he blew me out of the water. He is the perfect combination of awesome and arrogant snob. I couldn`t get enough of him, even when I was cursing him for not simply being honest with Sarah (or for her not telling Luke the whole truth either). Their lives would have been so much simpler yet it wouldn`t have been half the story that this one was. Sarah`s inner strength was the most promising thing that I`ve seen in a long while. What she came through and how she stands on her own were inspiring, even though they were very troublesome. Pitted against Luke`s arrogance the tension that arises was something that I couldn`t look away from. And let`s not forget the other 2 leading men, who were just as fascinating. Gabe`s insecurities and assumption of rejection drew me to him. His shy, caring nature was in direct opposition to Oz`s constant outrageousness. These three men were vastly different from one another yet worked together seamlessly towards their goal. I enjoyed the contrast between the scarred outer appearances of these there with their true inner caring natures. Also, the symbolic connection between the acceptance of their outer scars and the not yet healed inner ones was breathtaking.

The dynamic relationship between all four of these bewitching characters really made the story for me. This was a very character driven novel who`s individuals really drew me to them. I love how the scenes may be something straight out of your deepest fantasy, I never had to stop and question if something was actually possible. Everything remained so real. I enjoyed every minute of it. Butler`s usual sassy heroines stand out in a highly erotic and wildly captivating tale that is about so much more than simply a marriage.

I think that I`m seriously addicted to this series. This novel is no exception to that. I`d definitely recommend it to others.

My Review:

Boy did I ever have fun with this one! The plot was a riot and the characters were a blast to get to know. I loved the variety of personalities that we meet and how they all focus on what’s best for the others, without losing sight of what they want for themselves in the mix. The sizzling relationship is part of what makes these characters who they are, but there’s so much more to it than that. Butler takes the time to build a true relationship between them all. Add in some suspense and danger and you won’t be able to stop thinking about the steaming story.

Once again Butler has created a tale that sizzles while also allowing you to connect with the characters. It was a fun story that took me into the past and allowed me to fully experience a life very different from my own.
