Back Cover Blurb:

Just before boarding the Bride Train, outspoken intellectual Florence Peabody unofficially adopts two children to save them from a terrible fate.

Lawyer Benjamin Elliott is desperate to find the quiet, obedient wife he promised his identical twin, Ranger. Though he's decided never to marry, he enjoys Florence’s company. When she must produce a husband to save her children, he conveniently steps in.

Florence is everything Ranger detests, but he tells Ben that valley wives share their husband’s partners. Florence is hesitant until youngest brother Patrick welcomes her with a toe-curling kiss. With the most sexual experience, Ranger beds Florence the first time. For once, she lets go of reason and lets passion rule. When she wakes, she eagerly attacks Ben.

But Ranger’s tough guy attitude is too much for Florence and choosing between them is tearing Ben apart. Will Ranger open his heart, or must Florence leave?

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among siblings.

My Review:

Once again Butler returns to the Montana Territory with a novel that will curl your toes and knock your socks off. Ranching come to life in a big way through Butler’s intricate descriptions. The seamless plot was so much fun to read. I love how budding relationships were key, but yet weren’t the entire story. Family obligations and love come out as past hurts are conquered and present day dangers are dealt with.

These characters have the most compelling backstory yet. Each of their pasts shine through in different ways, each adding to the relationship that develops throughout. I love how the dynamics continually shift as these 4 come to grips with their relationship. Every pair works together in a different manner as they discover the truths about each other, both inside the bedroom and out.

If you’re looking for a story that will leave you all hot and bothered, this one is definitely for you!

Back Cover Blurb:

Desperate to escape her scandalous past, Victoria Edison heads west to a respectable future. When a storm traps her for three nights on the J Bar C Ranch, she’s faced with a choice of marriage or shame.

Jed Adams says he detests the shrew but she can cook and, since his partners want her, agrees to wed the voluptuous woman in a civil ceremony. But their new life is destroyed when the wedding is annulled by a vengeful business rival. Unless they remarry with a preacher, Victoria will lose the respectability she craves, Clint and Riley will lose the woman they’ve come to love, and Jed will lose the new light in his life. But Jed’s the son of a vicious Bible-thumping hypocrite and will have nothing to do with a preacher.

Can Victoria face the rival’s wrath, and Jed his nightmarish past, to bring love into their lives?

Note: There is no sexual relationship or touching for titillation between or among the men.

My Review:

The Wild West in the flesh? Check. Surviving in a harsh climate with little more than your own willpower? Check. Sinfully delightful encounters? Check. Hot and rowdy cowboys? Triple check. Yup. Butler has all the basis covered with this one.

Butler has definitely done her Bride Train series proud with this one. I love how the multifaceted plot highlighted who the characters were on the inside and out. Not only was the story steamy, sexy, and scrumptious, but it was also intriguing and heartfelt. And everyone’s story was important, playing a role in the overall plot. I really enjoyed the town dynamics: how some embrace the freedom of the Montana Territory while others preach a much stricter life.

Butler’s compelling plot was heighted by the sinfully hot relationships between the characters. Jed’s past was heartbreaking, made all the more so by the way that it was affecting his present without him even knowing. He and Victoria were the perfect mix of oil and water, with a dash of sugar. Clint’s strength of character and Riley’s fun loving attitude rounded out this family to perfection. I love how different they all are while also meshing together well.

All in all this was an unforgettable read that I could barely put down. It was fast paced and engaging from cover to cover. There’s never a dull moment at the J Bar C.
