My Review:

I love Haggerty’s writing. Her stories are always so much fun, and this one is definitely no exception. The plot was not only intricately crafted but it was as funny as anything. Not only that, but this novel is all about inclusivity. Haggerty focuses on a variety of themes, bringing them to the forefront without singling them out. Same sex relationships, cross dressing, and a myriad of other things are simply part of the story, rather than something to be brought up again and again as an ‘other’ to focus on.

The cast of characters that Haggerty has created for this novel was unforgettable. She combines a pair of gray haired, knitting, investigators with a gay store owner to create an all-out fantastic tale that is very character driven. Everyone is very well developed and easy to connect with, fulfilling their roles well.

This is a fantastic novel that had me in stitches while also keeping me on my toes. It could either be read on its own or as the second instalment in this absolutely hilarious series.
