My Review:

Cassidy melds chemistry with western life in a way that transported me into the world. She tells an intricate and fun story filled with suspense. It’s steeped in reality yet took me out of the everyday to get lost in its pages. This novel fits quite well into this multi-author series. Cassidy continues building on the world that came before her, yet also giving it her own twist. Solid narrative and descriptions bring readers back to the world that we’ve come to know and love.

I loved the in your face aspects of the characters. It made them impossible to ignore. I was thoroughly enchanted by Greta’s newfound self-reliance. Seeing her come out from behind the shadow of her brothers’ larger than life personas really allowed me to get to know her. Tyler’s bluntness was fantastic. He was exactly what he appeared to be, making it very easy to get to know with (and fall in love with) him.

This was a bittersweet novel for me. It was a fantastic addition to the Coltons of Oklahoma series, yet it was also the ending of the series. Cassidy has created a novel that brings to life the wonders of Oklahoma while steeping it in suspense. I thoroughly enjoyed it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others.
