A retelling of Scrooge from a Callahan Family perspective.

My Review:

Talk about Christmas in July for me! This was a great Christmas story that I loved even though it is completely the wrong time of year. The tale is simultaneously predictable and one of a kind. I love the personal, told by a child’s POV feeling. It was so much fun and really brought the spirit of Christmas out.

Character development in this one wasn’t in depth. Having read the rest of the series and therefore knowing the characters, I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but if you’ve yet to meet the characters, the tale may seem superficial. For those who know it, March draws you even deeper into their lives, throwing twists at you that you could never imagine.

This novella was admittedly not as fast paced as the rest of the series, but is very enjoyable all the same. It is a fantastic segue into March’s Eternity Springs series that I had a blast with.
