My Review:

Maynard simultaneously broke my heart and gave me hope. The tragedies that they lived through, yet the happiness that they found was breathtaking. The plot was complex and took me on some unexpected turns. Maynard developed this world in intricate detail, without overshadowing the story itself in a uniquely picturesque manner.

I love how the characters were still everyday individuals, even if they do lead lives that many of us couldn’t even fathom. I really enjoyed getting to know them. The unique second chance that these characters were given was really enjoyable.

Maynard never fails to capture me heart and soul with her well written tales. This one was no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
