Bad plan. Now his groin is only inches away from my face. He’s still wearing his jeans, which means that bulge isn’t a cup.
“Ray...” His face softens. “I hurt you.” “Yes, you hurt me. Keeping secrets hurts me. It makes me feel like you don’t respect me. And it makes me feel like I can’t trust you. So maybe you could return to your proper seat now. Tray table up.”
He shifts down, settling his weight over my hips, but he doesn’t release my hands. “I hurt you. Means you care.”

“I don’t want to lose you.”
Ray’s hands tighten on my wrists, and he leans down and brushes a kiss over my lips. “I don’t want to lose you either, but I live in a dangerous world. I’ve got stuff in my life that would make your head spin. Finally, he releases my hands but I don’t move. Heat sweeps through my belly. I feel both vulnerable and curiously safe lying beneath him. My gaze shifts from his intense gaze to his sensual lips, and my breasts swell, remembering the touch of his hands, the gentle press of his lips. He wants me. My Review:
Castille’s writing is simultaneously eloquent and rough, in an in-your-face type way, really drawing readers into the world of MMA & the lives of her characters. The fast paced, and heated story kept my attention throughout. Castille involved me in this story emotionally and intellectually. The underlying social commentary added an extra layer to the tale, taking it from great to absolutely unforgettable.
Not only was the plot fantastic, but this very character driven story is full of individuals that I loved getting to know. Ray’s got that tough edge of danger that definitely makes you stop and take notice, but also leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with mattering to someone. The secrecy that surrounds him makes him seem mysterious and yet very real. He is the perfect counterpoint to Sia. These two lend strength and understanding to one another, creating a dangerous yet caring relationship that will set your blood boiling. Emotional upheaval is prevalent throughout this novel & directly correlated to the main characters’ pasts. I appreciated the traumas that formed these two into who they are today as much as I enjoyed getting to know them as they rose above it.
By surrounding her main characters with a lively & lifelike cast of characters Castille really sets the stage for her story. There are no minor players in this tale. Readers honestly meet everyone and become part of the Redemption family. The spot on dialogue brings the characters and situations to life. The characters’ realistic reactions to situations made them easy to connect with.
Tats, MMA, & alpha men who make you swoon, what more can a gal ask for? My final thoughts? I cannot wait to read this one again!
