My Review:

I love Macomber’s light-hearted writing style. She never fails to invite me right into the heart of her stories, and this novel was no exception. I found it very easy to picture each of the scenes that Macomber developed, all the while enjoying the very unique story that she develops. I found myself wishing for my own Mr Miracle.

The main characters in this novel were just fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them as they were presented. The fact that these two had to come to terms not only with their individual pasts, but with their shared past as well added an extra element to the story. I also couldn’t help but giggle at Harry. His sense of self-worth and his ‘vast knowledge’ combined with the reality of the situations he found himself in were absolutely endearing.

This novel was the perfect escape from reality for me. The rest of the world just fell away, and I was in Washington alongside the characters. It is a very personal and approachable story, perfect for the holidays.
