My Review:
I quite enjoy Carr’s writing style. The easy flow of words lets you in to the world that she creates. The story itself was extremely superficial. That said, considering the short length of this story one can’t expect much more.
Carr writes with a light and easy writing style that connects you directly to the main character. The major characters are surprisingly well developed in the here and now for such a short story. I did, however, find that the dialogue felt scripted. It was as if the characters were simply saying what was expected of them. I felt no connection with the characters. I felt like Carr simply put them there to develop a few hot & steamy scenes.
As a whole, this was a quick & enjoyable read that would be great if you’re just looking for a little taste of something hot.
