Back Cover Blurb:
Ally begins a journey where she soon discovers that death is not always the end, but sometimes the very beginning. With old friends, she journeys to the Nosferatu Nation where she meets with new alliances willing to help her in her quest to defeat the Devourer. At every turn, Ally unearths secrets that threaten to destroy those she loves.
The second installment of The Vulcan Legacies series will put Ally to the ultimate test, forcing her to face her fears and the true destiny she will fulfill as Azrael, the Seraph of Death.
Hibb’s writing is inviting. She allows readers to walk seamlessly back into the world that she developed with Black Amaranth, and takes them on a very memorable ride. She continues to develop said world in a vivid and inviting manner all the while advancing her storyline in a captivating manner.
Hibbs’ characters remain approachable and easy to understand. At the same time they’re well developed and very likeable. We get to know past characters better while getting to know the new ones quite well. Watching individuals transformed by their circumstances and fighting to regain their footing was quite uplifting and very interesting at the same time. It was also very realistic. We are all victims of circumstance, be they good or bad. This element of reality really allows readers to connect with the story.
I thoroughly enjoyed being drawn back into Hibbs’ world. This vivid story was the perfect addition to the series.
