My Review:

I absolutely love this author’s writing style. It’s simultaneously fun and easy to read. Scornavacca melds different realities from our world together in this very unique and captivating tale. Her descriptions paint this world for her audience. I found myself drawn in by her writing style. It was spectacularly put together, especially for a debut novel. The writing was fluid and there were some quite steamy moments interspersed with sweetness and suspense.

The characters in this novel are definitely one of a kind. Scornavacca develops completely unique individuals to carry her story forward. They stand out without being completely abnormal. They really stick with you. The characters are also so diverse that there is someone for everyone to identify with, as well as someone for everyone to be annoyed with. The definite twist on Stockholm syndrome is there as well. Falling in love with your captor, regardless of the intended victim falls right in there. This is the one thing about the book that really got me. It seemed rather stereotypical to be honest.

As a whole this was an enjoyable read. I had fun with the book and the characters that Scornavacca presented to her audience. It was an interesting introduction to this author.
