I love how full of life this series is, even with the small cast. Woods keeps everything flowing with her phenomenally developed characters. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Chloe’s side of things. She really comes into her own with this one. Also, by showing her experiences during events we’ve previously encountered as flashbacks we get deeper into her character. She is such a personable character that she really draws you into this fantastic tale. Know her so much better throughout this instalment. It was also quite fascinating to see the cracks in Chloe’s armour. I was also very glad to find out more about Tommy’s history and link with Drex. It brought a lot of things to light in a clear manner while making Tommy much more approachable as a person. I did, however, always have a nagging thought in the back of my mind. I was always wondering what was going on with or really happened to Drex. Cole does stay towards the forefront of the tale with her journal entries to/about Drex and her dreams while at the same time taking a more background role throughout the story proper. Cole’s dreams hinted at some things I found myself hoping for & with a few revelations at the end of this one I find myself dying for the next story in the series.
