My Review:

What an amazing novel. Firman picks up this instalment of her series with the same smooth writing style and solid storyline that we’ve come to know and love from her. Her amazing descriptions show off her world in vivid clarity. I love how she makes this story seem so plausible. I really feel as if it was happening right next door. I was so caught up in the story that I couldn’t put it down, even for a second.

Although the characters in this series were quite well developed walking into this novel they continue to grow as individuals. I appreciate how they don’t remain static. They are realistic, even in their powers. I fully admit that there were times when I wanted to yell at some of the characters, but at the same time their actions were exactly what you would have expected from them.

This instalment in the series broke my heart and made me laugh in equal measures. It was a brilliant addition to the series and definitely left me aching for more.
