Synopsis from Goodreads:

This stunning romantic series is available for the first time as a five-book box set.

What if they tried to make you their slave?
What if they tried to make you their plaything?
What if they tried to make you their mistress?

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

My Review:

The arrangement is a very provocative, evocative, thought provoking series that can be read as either separate instalments or seamlessly as a whole. I appreciate how each unit has a beginning, middle, and end but aren’t quite complete without everything as a whole. Weeks creates an intricate storyline that consists of much more than simply racy scenes and compromising positions. Her vivid descriptions make everything pop and very visual.

I appreciate how the character development throughout this series is gradual. You get to see the main character coming into her own through some rather peculiar circumstances. Weeks doesn’t allow her characters to stagnate throughout, nor does she give anyone a magical personality change. Her characters stay consistent throughout, even if they do grow, or decay, as individuals.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

April Masterson thought she knew what her life had in store. When her husband Walter gets an important promotion she realizes things are about to get a lot more interesting. Not only is she now expected to fulfill the wildest fantasies of four of the capital’s most powerful lawyers, but she also finds that she has the lust and desire to do it.

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

My Review:

This first instalment in The Arrangement is emotionally charged. I ran the gamut while reading it. I was shocked, happy, nervous, saddened. There’s also a bit of a sinister feel to the story as well. Weeks’ foreshadowing draws you forward through this short story and right into the next.

You get to know the main character of this novella very well: her past, her present, who she was, who she is, who she will become. You start to see her coming into her own right at the end of the story. You also get introduced to the supporting cast with the insinuation that you’ll find out more in the next book.

Overall, this story has me quite intrigued and I’m definitely interested in finding out what comes next. It’s a quick, racy read that is a great read in to the series.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

If you enjoyed the first installment in the series then you are going to love this. Find out what happens to April next, as she is forced to negotiate her new position within the arrangement. Not only does this story illustrate in graphic detail the encounters that April enjoys at the mysterious Lace Cat lingerie emporium, but it also shows how she is forced to navigate her position among the powerful wives of the arrangement.

It's time you found out what all the fuss is about and got in deep and hot with April Masterson and the mysterious arrangement that she has been forced to become part of.

My Review:

Weeks continues her saga with the same fast pace and shocking storyline that we’ve been introduced to earlier in the series. The story comes alive with the vivid descriptions and intricate detail that this author puts forth. I also appreciate how there is an actual story leading this tale forward, rather than simply stacking racy scene upon erotic encounter to meet a page count.

By this point in the series I’m really coming to dislike the main character’s husband. His character and sense of self-worth is becoming quite clear through the author’s writing but he’s a less than nice individual and is the type of individual I wouldn’t give the time of day. The main character herself is also starting to find her place in the new world that she’s found herself in. The struggle between what she wants and what is expected of her is beginning to shine through.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

In this episode the story really heats up with April being forced to come face to face with her deepest fears. Walter, who has been growing meaner and crueler since becoming a partner, takes her to one of the poorest neighborhoods of the capital and threatens to leave her there. This brings back painful memories from April's childhood as she is forced to encounter the lowlifes and pimps that were a permanent part of her mother's life in a most humiliating way.

April also takes her friendship with Midge farther, bonding with her as they both realize that friendship and compassion mean more to them than the wealth of their lavish life at The Oaks. This friendship is somewhat tested when Walter and Frank decide to swap wives for the night.

Come and find out why so much excitement is surrounding this series and look out for our exclusive offer for free episodes at the end of the book.

My Review:

Gaahh! The more I read the more I absolutely detest Walter. He’s actually starting to detract from the story for me. That said, I’m starting to like some of the female characters more and more. It’s quite intriguing to see them interact with each other and to get to know one another. It’s very revealing.

Weeks backs up her intriguing characters with yet another racy and provocative set of challenges them. Not only do the events in this novella forward the story but they give you real insight into the characters. Her descriptions become even more vivid, pulling you into this world and not letting you go. Even if you want to put the tale down and walk away you can’t, you have the need to know what will happen next.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

This is the longest and hottest episode yet. It is the lead up to the stunning grand finale of the entire series. In this episode April experiences her most graphic and overpowering encounter to date as she is forced to help the firm impress a number of new clients. The experience is so intense she actually loses consciousness! It is also the beginning of April's full blown response to the arrangement as we see her taking her first positive action toward freeing herself and regaining her liberty. She achieves this through the introduction of a brave and beautiful new male character, the first to actually show April the treatment she deserves.

Walter continues his downward spiral pushing his aggression and anger to the limit.

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

My Review:

This instalment definitely made me laugh out loud more than once. The mix of racy with comedy made it all the more entertaining and approachable. It was unique and intriguing. Weeks also gives you a much more introspective look into the lives of her characters with this one. The characters also become much more individualized. There’s less of an us-vs-them vibe and more individuality. Each character is now acting on their own, even if they are caught up in circumstance.

This instalment definitely added to the series as a whole. Everything’s getting much more read. And although the ending on this one is a bit of a cliffhanger, I can’t help but say FINALLY!!!!

If you've been a fan so far, don't miss this stunning climax to everything that's gone before.

Adult-content rating: This book contains content considered unsuitable for young readers 17 and under, and which may be offensive to some readers of all ages.

My Review:

This instalment in the series is extremely suspenseful & is definitely my favourite. It’s not nearly as racy as the first 4 instalments in the series, but it’s a much more complete read. It’s not your typical HEA, but it’s the perfect ending for what Weeks has begun. She continues with her shocking storyline but gives it a twist that I never would have expected. The characters that I’d come to respect throughout the series really come into their own with this instalment. I also really enjoyed the new characters that are introduced through this one. I couldn’t help but love and appreciate them. They added a great deal to the story and to my appreciation of humanity.

Overall this was a brilliant conclusion to the series. It wrapped most things up nicely while leaving you wondering and hoping.
