Synopsis from Goodreads:

Tina Shawn was nine years old when she developed an uncontrollable crush on Brad Anderson, who was two years older than her.

Now, seven years later, the boy who has held the key to her heart is moving out of Cleveland, Ohio. It spells the end of her dream. But little does she realize that their paths will cross again. Except that finding her dream again only gradually throws her into a state of confusion as conflicting events unfold.

My Review:

The short, choppy paragraphs and chapters in this story make you feel like you’re jumping forward in time. Throughout I felt like I was separated from the story. The more I tried to identify with the plight of the characters the further away I felt. I spent a great deal of time wondering what was happening, but then, so did the main character. The story itself also could have used another run through by an editor.

The characters in this story are fairly well developed in a unique way. You get to know parts of them very well, while other aspects remain a complete mystery. It left me with a rather odd feeling. The supporting cast was there to ensure that the storyline continued on its forward flow. They provided contrast to the main characters.
