My Review:

Carter F’ing Sterling. That could just about sum up my review right now, but let’s start again.

This an emotionally charged novel that takes both its readers and its characters through the ringer and back again. Self-discovery is paramount, but it is interspersed with the worst side of relationships. Love does conquer all, but holy hell Hannah it’s one hell of a ride to get there, even if it is brief.

West creates a world that you find yourself trapped in, even if you want to climb out. The emotions that the characters experience are the same ones that you feel as a reader. Each and every moment that you spend with these characters, however brief, affects your life in one way or another. West gives you a new way to look at the world via her intricate descriptions and hard hitting storyline. Love and lust do conquer all, but they take a roundabout route to get there.

The characters that West presents her readers with complement and live out the storyline perfectly. This well developed and amazingly crafted characters the main characters are the type of individuals that you could find yourself living next door to, they are that real. The supporting cast is also quite well developed to fill their roles in the novel.

Overall, this is one of those books that lives on the cusp between 4 & 5 stars. The deciding factor was simply the fact that I was able to set the book down and carry on with my day before returning to the novel. However, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who enjoys a bit of romance and a bit of drama.
