My Review:
Brothers’ impeccable writing is out in full force again with this step in the saga. She works her immaculate descriptions throughout everything in the novel. Each and every section of the novel has descriptions and background written right into it. This aids the storyline and world building rather than slowing it down. Everything is vividly real. I also enjoy the increased suspense in this novel, as opposed to its predecessors. Some parts of this novel are comically suspenseful. It’s great.
The characters continue to grow and become more real and developed throughout this novel. I appreciate that the character development is spread out among the characters in the novel, not just based on the main character. I really enjoy seeing the main characters thoughts in comparison to what she actually says and does. It’s very unique in a book, but true to real life. Brothers also introduces some new characters in this installment. They are very unique and well developed characters, but fit very well into the story, further enriching it.
I loved this installment in the Unbidden Magic series. I think that it’s my favorite so far and can’t wait to see how it all wraps up. But I think I’m going to miss the world’s best guardian angel in the final installment of the series.
